Just Keepin’ It Real

I had a good summer.

And I didn’t blog at all.

And then the kids went back to school.

And I was ready to start blogging again.

And then a breast-cancer-blogging-friend of mine died.

And nothing that I wrote seemed right.

And it still doesn’t.

My cancer journey

Brief Version: I was diagnosed with Stage 1 invasive lobular cancer in March 2006. At the time of diagnosis, I was 41 years old. Treatment: initial lumpectomy followed by bilateral mastectomy, 4 rounds chemo , oophorectomy, delayed reconstruction (tissue expanders replaced with saline implants), Arimidex. Long Version: It is woven through the archives, and continues to be presented here.
